Coal
Vale & Ore sources and supplies high-calorific coal from the mineral-rich basins of Balochistan, Pakistan — a region known for its semi-anthracite and bituminous coal deposits, formed through complex geological folding and deep-buried sedimentary layers. Our coal is used in thermal power, cement manufacturing, and industrial heating across Pakistan and regional markets.
These reserves lie within the Sulaiman Fold Belt, containing some of Pakistan’s highest carbon-content coals — often manually or semi-mechanically extracted through both open-pit and underground room-and-pillar methods.
Technical Profile:
Coal from Balochistan is characterized by:
Gross Calorific Value (GCV): 5,000–6,800 kcal/kg
Fixed Carbon: 40–60%
Volatile Matter: 25–35%
Moisture Content: 6–12% (naturally low)
Ash Content: 10–18%
Sulfur: 1.0–2.8%
These properties make Balochistan coal ideal for energy-intensive industries where consistency and combustion efficiency are critical.
Applications & Clients:
Cement Plants (local and export-oriented)
Brick kilns and industrial boilers
Power Plants (IPPs and captive use)
Thermal export contracts to neighboring countries
We offer both:
ROM (Run of Mine) and
Sized/Screened Coal (25mm–150mm or as per buyer spec)
With bulk handling capacity and loading points in Quetta, Loralai, and via Hub to Karachi Port, we enable streamlined delivery throughout the value chain.
Strategic Outlook
With regional coal prices rising and global buyers seeking diversified sources beyond South Africa and Indonesia, Pakistan’s Balochistan coalfields offer a strategic alternative — with the added benefit of low moisture, high fixed carbon, and shorter inland logistics chains. Vale & Ore is positioned as a reliable aggregator and supplier, operating through local partnerships, lease agreements, and logistics control to fulfill volume-based contracts and long-term energy agreements.
